It is the crucial part of overall look and boost the self-esteem. It seems correct to mention that overall confident for an individual depends on the way it looks. A person who is facing hair fall problem often feel less confident in public appearance. Hair loss or hair fall is the problem of today. This can’t be a true statement as the problem of hair fall were as old as human beings. However, the modern times have seen a drastic increase in the cases of individuals who are facing this problem. Almost 1 in 5 people around the globe are facing this unfortunate complication. In recent years, the problem is not restricted to the older age people, but the young generation is realizing hair loss and hair fall.

Hair fall is not a Problem itself:

Normally a person loses around 50-100 hairs a day but that isn’t noticeable because the new hairs are replacing the hairs which are falling out. If this is your case and your body is unable to grow new hairs that must replace the already gone hairs, then you are facing the problem of hair fall. The medical term for Hair fall is alopecia.

Reasons behind Hair fall & Hair Loss:

There are different views to define the reasons for hair fall. The most common reason that is accepted  by mainstream doctors is heredity. If your family has the history of baldness or falling out of hairs in old age, then this might be the first reason that can conclude your situation. Technically this condition is referred as androgenic alopecia, female-pattern baldness and male-pattern baldness. For females it can be observed if she is facing thinness of hair along the crown of the scalp. For males a receding hairline and bald spot. There are certain medical conditions which can become the cause for hair loss. For instance, the pregnancy in women resulted in hormonal changes; that can be the one reason for temporary or permanent hair loss. Thyroid problems, menopause and childbirth affects the immune system and can result in hair problems.

There are certain drugs whose side effects can cause the hair fall. People who are taking the pills due to depression, cancer, heart problem, gout, arthritis and high blood pressure often complain about hair loss. People who undergone a radiation therapy for the head have severe hair fall issue.

The most important reason for hair falls in these times is because of the stressful lifestyle. It becomes the common reason for the hair loss problem. Inorganic food consumption, Hectic routines and workloads put immense pressure on immunity, thus resulted in difficulty for a new hair growth.  Hair treatment or excessive hairstyling is another reason which is often neglected by people. It can seriously damage the growth of your hair. Low quality cosmetics items that are used for hair styling often become the biggest cause for hair fall problem.

Origin of Hair Transplant or Hair Surgery:

20th century has seen many wonders in medical science. Among many of greatest breakthroughs, the important one is a process in which the Bald patches of a human head are grafted by taking the hairs from the back of the scalp. The first procedure was done by a Japanese Dermatologist Dr Shoji Okuda in He didn’t make it public until 1950, when a doctor in New York started hair transplant surgery and became widely popular in just few months.

Our Method for Hair Transplant Surgery?

This is a permanent solution for your baldness. You are lucky that you are thinking about getting a hair transplant surgery because it was not possible a decade back to get a natural looking hair with different procedures of that time. 20th century brings many methods to carry out the hair transplant surgery but we at Mediface clinic opted for the best method for hair transplant that have long lasting results after the surgery.  Our process of Hair Transplant is just simple as transferring of hairs from the unaffected area to the area which is affected with hair loss. This unaffected area is termed as donor area. Before a hair transplant your doctor always gets through your donor area and after a complete analysis, he can tell you about the possibility of hairs that can be transferred from the donor area.

Steps for completing the operation for Hair Transplant:

In three simple steps your operation will be completed, and you will get the satisfying results.

Extraction Phase: The customized special tool which has a diameter of less then 1mm will be used to extract the hair follicles one by one from the donor area. The extracted hair fossils are preserved at a controlled temperature dipping in the solution that will enhance their capability to grow after the placement. These enhanced hair follicles can self-grow at a good growth rate rather than the other method in which the hair follicles are cut or separated.

Placement Phase: Our patented tool, the DHI implanter having a diameter of less than 1mm will be used to directly put the hair follicles into the targeted area which is suffering from hair loss. We have the edge over other methods because we didn’t do any sort of holes or slits before injecting the hair follicles.

Natural Result: Our doctors possess the skills of injecting the follicles at the right depth, angle, and direction that ensures 100% natural results. By using this method, we make sure that our client has the maximum yield of hairs and the new hairs will never fall out and grow for a lifetime.

What should you do after hair transplantation?

So, you have transplanted your hair. Congratulations!

Now what?

Most people are not aware of how crucial the first 14 days after getting hair transplantation are. That's what we are going to discuss in this article.

Why Are the First Two Weeks Important After Hair Transplantation?

People can get an infection after getting hair transplants if they are not too cautious. Sometimes even bleeding can occur on the scalp and that can be painful.

Clinics provide hair spray to tackle such a situation but if you don’t apply it to your scalp properly it can be a problem.

Best Ways to Secure Your Hair After Getting Hair Transplant

Take Proper Rest

After getting hair transplant surgery, you should take proper rest for at least a week. This means no stressful activity that can be a problem for hair transplant.

Don’t take aspirin related products

Drinking alcohol, soda products, and aspirin can cause a problem for your hair transplant. So, you should avoid all these products for at least a week.

Bleeding Can Occur

After surgery, you may get bleeding in the hair graft that is pasted on your head. So, whenever that happens, simply apply pressure on the head for 15 days to stop bleeding. But make sure you apply the pressure gently so that it doesn’t dislodge the surrounding graft.

Don’t be afraid of losing more hair

In the first five days, your graft may get knocked or combed out. If that happens, do not panic as this is not uncommon. It can happen but to avoid such a situation, just make sure that you don’t lose more hair. You may lose a few hair roots there and that is totally fine until you apply the proper hair treatment offered by the clinic.

If Swelling Occurs

There are chances that swelling will occur once you are done with the hair transplantation. This is rare. Swelling can sometimes spread to your eyelids due to gravity. To avoid this, you need to sleep at a 45-degree angle (elevated). Fortunately, swelling is not permanent, and it will ease away in a few days. Just make sure that you don’t lie on either side for the first few days.

Don’t Exercise for First Few Days

Exercise is stressful and it can seriously damage the newly implanted graft.  To avoid such a scenario, don't exercise for the first four weeks. You can do mild body movements like walking, climbing stairs and that's it. Don't opt for heavy lifting and plyometric exercises as they can be a lot more stressful. For the first few days, crusting will be visible on your head. It will start to fall off once your transplanted hair adjusts to its new place.

Don’t Swim in Chlorinated Water

Swimming in chlorinated water should also be avoided during the first 14 days. It is because, during this time, the graft is too weak. It can easily wear off your scalp due to water pressure. So, avoid swimming in chlorinated water for a few days after your hair treatment.

Bath Cautiously

You  can bath with and gently wash your hair with soap. Try not to pour water directly on the transplanted area where follicles are planted. You can use a small jar to pour on your head to clean it off shampoo or conditioner – whatever you are using as a hair cleanser.

Don’t Pluck Transplanted Area

Your hair is precious and even after treatment, you have to take care of them properly or they can cause irritation on the overall scalp.

Due to excessive irritation, you can even get burning skin after hair transplantation. Most people don't go for a hair transplant because of all these fears attached to it. But you need to know that plucking hair from family members is not fun and people don't usually like it.

 Don’t Use a hair Dryer

A hair dryer is necessary to make hair dry and clean. However, after hair transplantation, you should avoid using a hair dryer after 14 days.  Since the hair dryer is hot and can burn the graft hair before they adjust on your scalp, it must be avoided at all costs. Hairdryer, hair blower, and hair roller, all of these should be avoided. If you really have to use them, you can do so when one month has passed.

 Don’t Use Hair Creams/Gels

You can apply oil to the hair after one week but don't apply hair creams and hair gel. Rinsing or massaging hair can harm hair roots since they are weak in the beginning. So, avoid all those products that can directly impact the hair roots.

Hair gel and hair cream are sticky, and they can ruin the hair graft for good.

What If Skin Flakes or Peels off?

The dead hair in the graft will automatically start to flake after 10 days. This is normal. You must make sure that you don’t apply excessive pressure or intentionally peel off the excessive graft. Let it flake by itself. You can even soften the flakes by using a medicine called Bepantol.

Bottom-line

These are some of the best ways to make the post-hair transplantation procedure as smooth as it can get.

In short, you shouldn’t do anything excessive on your hair during the first 14 days. When the period has passed, you can slightly massage your hair. You can also exercise the hair during this time.

After a month, your hair will be in normal condition. Now you can enjoy your hair implants.
